Some FAQs Related to Traveling to Copenhagen

No matter how prepared you are for your travel, but there are always some small yet important questions milling in our heads. What to do when your valuables are lost, or who to approach when asking for our schedules when the Internet is down? The point is, we need to be prepared for such circumstances no matter what. Here is a list of FAQs you should refer to if you are traveling to Copenhagen.

  1. How do I reach or get from the airport?

Metro services are available at the end of every airport arrival hall and will drop you to Kongens Nytorv or Nørreport in Copenhagen city center every four minutes. The usual train is located on the lower level of the airport hall and will drop you to Copenhagen Central, Nørreport or Østerport in less than 15 minutes. You can also take taxis which are available outside the arrival hall. The fares may include VAT and tips and you can pay with most of the major credit cards.

  1. How do I reach Malmö in Sweden?

You can easily catch a train from Copenhagen Central Station to Malmö. The journey takes about 25 minutes and it stops at Copenhagen airport also. You need to buy a ticket before you board a train.

  1. Where should I stay in Copenhagen?

We understand that hotels add much to the expenses. You can either stay in a hostel or Copenhagen holiday apartments which are quite affordable.

  1. Where can I get a map of Copenhagen?

You can get a printed map of the city at the airport at the Copenhagen Visitor Service at Vesterbrogade 4A and at most hotels.

  1. Can I buy the City Pass or Copenhagen Card at the port?

Unfortunately, you cannot. You will have to purchase a bus ticket to a train station where you can purchase a city pass or Copenhagen Card. Or you can also walk to Østerport Station or Nordhavn Station in 15 minutes.
